Cardinals (4-9) at Chargers (6-7)

Time: 4 p.m., chs. 45, 5

Line: Chargers by 9

Injury report: Cardinals -- WR Marcus Dowell (hamstring), C Jamie Dukes (knee), S Lorenzo Lynch (hamstring) are out; LB Wesley Leasy (neck) is questionable; RB Larry Center (ankle), S Terry Hoage (hamstring) are probable. Chargers -- CB Darrien Gordon (shoulder), S Rodney Harrison (knee), T Vaughn Parker (knee) are out; LB Dennis Gibson (ankle), RB Natrone Means (groin), DE Chris Mims (ankle) are questionable.

Outlook: It looks like rookie Aaron Hayden, who rushed for 127 yards against the Browns last week, is a good replacement for Means. If the Chargers had discovered that four weeks ago when Means went down, maybe they'd have a realistic chance of making the playoffs. Arizona's defense is ranked last in the NFL against the run, so Hayden may turn in another fine performance.

Vito Stellino's pick: Chargers 21, Cardinals 17 -- How many times during this telecast is Terry Bradshaw going to bring up Jimmy Johnson's coaching future?
