Brush up on your brogue and join the 25th annual Scottish Christmas Walk and a host of other events on Saturday in Alexandria, Va.

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. with bands, floats, antique cars and clansmen dressed in colorful tartans through the streets of Old Town historic district. It ends at noon with a massed band concert in front of Market Square.

Also on Saturday there will be live entertainment such as the Bob Brown Puppet Show, the Alexandria Ballet, Christmas music, a holiday decorating workshop and Scottish country dancers at historic locations. A wrist band good for all events is available at the Campagna Center, 418 South Washington St. The cost for adults is $10; children's tickets cost $5. Throughout the day there will be continuous entertainment and food on Market Square.

Another big event that day is a Holiday Homes Tour of six private homes. Tickets cost $15 and are also available at the Campagna Center. And here's one more event -- "Settings of the Season," a holiday show house sampler, which runs through Sunday at the Campagna Center. Admission is $5. Call (703) 838-5005.
