Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed an Orkin Pest Control office in the 1100 block of E. Fayette St. of $115 about 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Purse snatching: A man stole the purse, with contents valued at $15, of a 54-year-old woman in the 300 block of S. Conkling St. about 10 p.m. Monday.

Robbery: An armed man robbed a 39-year-old man of $130 yesterday in the 4200 block of Eastern Ave.

Burglary: An intruder pried open the front door of a home in the 100 block of S. Linwood Ave. Monday or yesterday and took a television set worth $400.

Northeastern District

Stolen auto: A 1991 Dodge, Maryland tag CVG 351, was taken from the 900 block of Roundhill Road between midnight Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Theft: A yellow concrete mixer, valued at $1,450, was taken from ABC Rental in the 6500 block of Frankford Ave. between 6 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Monday. The thief entered by cutting a hole in the fence.

Northwestern District

Burglary: The owner of a house in the 5400 block of Fairlawn Ave. returned home about 10:30 a.m. Monday and found the rear door open and a videocassette recorder, a phone and clothing missing.

Burglary: Someone broke into a Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. office in the 4200 block of Mortimer Ave. between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Monday, using bolt cutters to get in, and stole security equipment of unknown value.

Catonsville Precinct

Armed robbery: A man wearing a blue ski cap, a blue flannel shirt and baggy blue jeans entered Beltway Pharmacy in the 6100 block of Edmondson Ave. about 2:10 p.m. yesterday, displayed a large handgun and robbed the pharmacy of $200.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into an optician's office in the 3600 block of Old Court Road about 12:26 p.m. and stole eyeglasses.

Burglary: A snow blower, a lawn mower and an edger were taken from a garage in the 12200 block of Rowan Court shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday.

Murder charges: City police charged two men yesterday in Sunday's fatal shooting of Donald Jones, 22, of the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave., who was shot in the head in the 1600 block of E. 32nd St. He died Monday night at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Alef Craig Edmonds, 21, of the 1700 block of Lakeside Ave. was charged in an arrest warrant with first-degree murder. He was being sought yesterday. Eddie Lowell Johnson Jr., 24, of the 1300 block of Lakeside Ave. was arrested at his home yesterday and also charged with first-degree murder. Police said they had not learned of a motive.

Arrest: City police have arrested and charged Larry Darnell Williams, 31, of the 1700 block of N. Castle St. with first-degree murder in the Nov. 20 fatal beating of Travis Nathaniel Winstead, 40, of the 2200 block of E. Preston St. Mr. Winstead was struck several times in the head with a blunt object in the 1900 block of E. Lafayette Ave. Police said yesterday the slaying was in retaliation for a stolen trash bin that contained drugs.

Slaying: Sean Devon Gaskins, 15, who was shot several times Sunday in the 1800 block of Druid Hill Ave., near his home, died Monday about 10:30 a.m. at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
