Outlook: The Mount opened on Saturday with a 75-62 loss at 11th-ranked Wake Forest despite 36 points from senior G Chris McGuthrie. Coach Jim Phelan's team hopes to return to the NCAA tournament. Liberty dropped its opener Friday, 80-59, to Drake.

Outlook: Maryland lost its opener Friday to No. 1 Kentucky, 96-84, but took the Wildcats into the final two minutes before bowing. Towson State makes its debut, led by 6-foot-7 transfer Matt Dellinger and senior G Scooter Alexander, who was redshirted last season. Towson won its only exhibition game, but is 0-10 vs. Maryland.
