Anne Arundel County police arrested a Baltimore County man Wednesday afternoon and charged him with stealing about $75,000 worth of items.

Police said the property was stolen during two thefts at trailers parked in the Baltimore Commons Business Park.

Acting on a tip, investigators raided the man's trailer in the 8600 block of Trumps Mill Road about 2 p.m. and found the stolen items, including clothing, air conditioning units and bed frames, police said.

Harold Marvin Evans, 48, was charged with two counts of felony theft.

Cash, checks stolen in supermarket break-in

Police are looking for one or more thieves who broke into a Hanover supermarket Friday and stole an undetermined amount cash and checks from the store's safe.

The manager of Valu Food in the 2600 block of Old Annapolis Road reported that a side door of the store had been found forced open about 5 a.m., police said.

The safe also was pried open, officers said, and the contents, including cash and checks, were gone.

Police also said an automated teller machine near the store entrance had been dragged inside and an undetermined amount of cash removed.
