TC Opponent: Tampa Bay Lightning

Site: USAir Arena

Time: 7:30

TV/Radio: None/WWLG (1360 AM), WTEM (570 AM).

Outlook: Washington (10-9-1) will try to build on Tuesday's 3-2 victory over San Jose, its first victory in six games. The Caps will have RW Pat Peake, their leading power-play scorer, back after a four-week absence due to thyroid cartilage damage -- and not a moment too soon, as Washington tries to break an 0-for-25 run on the special team. Tampa Bay comes in off Wednesday night's 3-1 win over New Jersey, which completed the Lightning's six-game homestand with a 3-3 record. The Lightning weren't in top form the last time they met the Caps and lost, 4-2. Washington is 7-1-3 all-time vs. Tampa Bay and on a 6-0-1 run against it. Washington reports RW Peter Bondra (shoulder separation) is day-to-day. Tampa Bay D Enrico Ciccone (torn thumb ligaments) is out.
