1994-95 record: 5-22, 5-11 in the MEAC.

Radio: WEAA (88.9 FM).

Arena: Hill Field House (5,500)

Tickets: General admission $5, students $3 (with ID). Call (410) 319-3830.

Starters lost: Two.

Outlook: Four of the Bears' five leading scorers are back, providing a nice foundation for Fuller, who hopes to be able to push the ball up the floor and compensate for a lack of size. Fuller already has notched one victory. Senior forward Terrance Wright (12.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg), who led the Bears in scoring and is the school's all-time leader in steals with 164, was granted an extra year of eligibility because of an injury in the third game of the 1991-92 season. He joins junior forward Scott Deas (8.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg), the team's third-leading scorer last season, and sophomore guard Jerard Rucker, who averaged 6.3 points, dished out 52 assists and was selected to the conference's All-Rookie team. He'll be looked upon to supply more scoring, especially with the departure of forward Brandon Battle (10.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg). Senior guard Paul Grant (7.3 ppg) started nine games last season, and sophomore forward Dwayne Holmes (3.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg) started two. Fuller is satisfied with his backcourt, but said the Bears are short inside, which hurts in the growing MEAC. Morgan was 0-18 away from home last year, and is faced with another brutal road schedule that includes games at Penn State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Kansas State, Georgetown, West Virginia, Brigham Young, Xavier and Marquette by Jan. 2. The Bears are home just once during that span. They started out 0-12 last season, losing by an average margin of 26 points. Morgan needs to avoid a similar spill, but it won't be easy. And neither will the MEAC competition. The Bears are 9-23 in the conference over the past two seasons.
