Dr. Clark Thorp Randt, 78, founding chairman of the department of neurology at New York University Medical Center and the first director of life sciences for NASA, died Sunday at his home in Greenwich, Conn. He made his mark researching such conditions as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, nutritional deprivation in early life, mental retardation, senile dementia and myasthenia gravis, as well as the neurological effects of weightlessness in space. He trained neurologists now at work in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Bruno Pittini, 50, for years one of the most important men in the lives of some of the world's most glamorous women, died of complications from pneumonia in a Paris suburb Nov. 9. For 25 years, he was the creative force behind the 360 Jacques Dessange beauty salons around the world. He met Mr. Dessange in 1964 and within five years was his star hair cutter. Among those whose hair he styled were actresses Jodie Foster, Jessica Lange, Raquel Welch and Rachel Ward, as well as actors Dustin Hoffman and Donald Sutherland.
