Baltimore woman is accused of drug possession, shoplifting

November 21, 1995

Police arrested a Baltimore woman Sunday afternoon on drug possession and shoplifting charges.

Michael Lapsley, a security officer at the Basics food store in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park, told police he saw a woman take a box of M & M candies from a store display and put them into her coat pocket.

Mr. Lapsley stopped the woman before she left the store and took back the candy, but he also found in her coat pocket a bag of what later tested positive for marijuana, police said. A county police officer found a marijuana cigarette in her pants pocket.

Police arrested Sharon Lee McClary, 29, of the 3400 block of W. Saratoga St. in Baltimore and charged her with theft and possession of marijuana.
