November 17, 1995

Opponent: Pittsburgh Penguins

Site: USAir Arena, Landover

Time: 8

TV/Radio: HTS/WNAV (1430 AM), WKDB (1570 AM)

Outlook: A sellout crowd will watch the Caps (9-7-1) face the Penguins (9-3-3) for the first time since last season's first-round playoff loss. The NHL's leading scorer, Mario Lemieux, will not play. Lemieux does not play in back-to-back games as a precautionary measure. The Penguins, who lead the Northeast Division, are anchored by G Tom Barrasso, who is 8-1-2. Washington is in a 1-4-1 slump. Besides Lemieux, Pittsburgh reports RW Ed Patterson (leg surgery) and D Sergei Zubov (broken finger) are out. LW Joe Dziedzic (stiff neck) is day-to-day.
