Man is mugged, robbed of food as he leaves eatery

A customer leaving an Ellicott City fast-food restaurant was punched and robbed of his food Wednesday night, Howard County police said.

The victim, a 23-year-old man whose name was not released by '' police, was bruised but not seriously injured, police said.

When the customer walked out of the Roy Rogers in the 8500 block of U.S. 40 at about 8 p.m., the robber struck him in the face, causing him to fall, police said.

Another man joined the robber; one searched the victim while the other took his food, police said. The two men fled on foot, police said.
