Price has surgery, may miss 3 months

November 11, 1995|By Jerry Bembry

LANDOVER -- Washington Bullets point guard Mark Price, hurt since the start of training camp, underwent surgery yesterday on his left foot.

The injury was diagnosed as plantar fascitis, an inflammation of the tissue that runs from the heel to the toes. Team doctor Steven Haas also removed bone spurs and scar tissue. Price is expected to be out for three months, which could get him into the lineup just after the All-Star break.

Haas also examined Bullets forward Chris Webber, who is undergoing rehabilitation on his left shoulder, separated during a preseason game against the Indiana Pacers. Webber is expected back sometime in December.
