Victim of shooting in Sept. identified

November 11, 1995

A woman who was shot to death two months ago in Waverly but whose identity was a mystery has been identified as Doris Theresa Miller, 28, of the 1000 block of Odell Ave., city police said yesterday.

Police found her body Sept. 11 near Chestnut Hill Avenue and Old York Road. She had been shot several times. Police said the FBI could not match the woman's fingerprints, but identified her after her picture was published in the newspaper and appeared on television.
