No. 3 Florida (8-0) at South Carolina (4-4-1)

Site: Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, S.C.

TV: ESPN

It's the system: Florida tried to take it on easy on Northern Illinois last week when it rested quarterback Danny Wuerffel. But Wuerffel's replacement, Eric Kresser, set a school record with 458 yards passing and six touchdowns in a 58-20 victory.

Coach Superior I: Steve Spurrier was a bit perplexed a day later when pollsters jumped Ohio State over his Gators, who have outscored the opposition, 364-160. If pollsters decide against another flip-flop, Florida could go 13-0 and finish No. 2 in the final rankings.

Coach Superior II: The Gamecocks had won three straight before they were swamped by Tennessee, 56-21, two weeks ago. Anything the Volunteers can do, the Gators can do better. They're 20-point favorites in this SEC East Division mismatch and Spurrier is miffed with the rankings. Time your trips to the refrigerator or you'll miss a touchdown or two.
