No. 4 Glenelg sweeps Wilde Lake, into final

Elisa Davidson had 10 kills and Carol Franklin added six aces and three kills as No. 4 Glenelg (14-4) swept host Wilde Lake (1-16), 15-10, 15-5, 15-1, in a Class 2A South region semifinal.

Glenelg will play host to Oakland Mills tomorrow in region championship game.

* Oakland Mills 3, Hammond 1: Carolina Michniewicz had 13 kills and Lisa Scaggs chipped in with 11 as Oakland Mills (9-9) defeated Hammond, 15-12, 10-15, 15-4, 15-12. Jean Haverstick had 24 assists for the Scorpions.

* Centennial 3, Broadneck 0: Meredith Price had 13 kills and Jennifer Climm had 22 assists, as host and No. 2 Centennial (19-2) beat No. 13 Broadneck (7-5), 15-3, 15-5, 15-2 in a state Class 3A East region semifinal. The Eagles advance to the region final tomorrow when they will play host to Mount Hebron, which defeated Howard yesterday, 11-15, 15-1, 15-3, 15-10.

Field hockey

* John Carroll 1, St. Timothy's 0: Sarah Dannenfelser scored on a rebound as the Patriots (2-5-2) advanced to the B Division tournament semifinals today against host Lutheran at 3:15 p.m.

* Oldfields vs. Seton Keough, ppd: The AIS B semifinal was postponed until today because of poor field conditions. The winner travels to Glenelg Country for tomorrow's 3:15 p.m. semifinal.
