Man charged with burglary

November 09, 1995

Police have charged a man in the Oct. 30 burglary of $1,945 worth of items from a Westminster house and with threatening a resident of the house two days earlier.

Nelson Clark told police an acquaintance refused to leave his Chase Street home about 7:15 a.m. Oct. 28.

Mr. Clark told investigators that after he was threatened, he managed to lock the man out of the house and call police.

Two days later, a neighbor saw someone removing items from the Clark house while the residents were away and called police.

Officers said two videocassette recorders, three remote control devices and an afghan were stolen.

Jonathan Todd Jarboe, 24, who gave police no permanent address, was charged with assault by threat and burglary, according to District Court documents.

He was being held in lieu of $150,000 bond at the detention center yesterday.
