Man implies he has weapon, robs Shell convenience store

November 09, 1995

A man who implied that he had a gun robbed the Shell station at Ritchie Highway and Jumpers Hole Road of an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday, county police said yesterday.

The man walked into the station's convenience store shortly after 3 a.m., demanded money from the clerk and told the clerk not to touch anything and to back away from the register, police said.

The clerk told the man to show him a weapon, and the man replied that if he did, he would have to shoot the clerk, police said. The clerk then gave the man money in a plastic bag. The suspect drove off in a blue Ford, heading toward Elvaton Road, police said.
