Police arrested a Pasadena man on drug charges Sunday after the man told police he had marijuana in his car, authorities said.

An officer stopped an Isuzu pickup truck Swann Creek Drive and Kembo Road at Marley Neck Industrial Park shortly before 8:30 p.m. for trespassing, a police report said.

The driver told police he was looking for a trash bin to empty boards and trash in his truck bed, the report said.

The two police officers smelled marijuana and asked the driver if he had any drugs in his truck. The man told them he had marijuana in the glove compartment and a pipe in the ashtray, the report said. The officers found 26.5 grams of marijuana and the pipe.

Police arrested Thomas Patrick Lamont, 33, of the 7800 block of Pepperbox Lane in Pasadena and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
