Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed West Coast Video in the 5400 block of Belair Road of an undisclosed sum of money Sunday.

Theft: A purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $300, was stolen Sunday from a room at Archbishop Curley High School in the 3700 block of Sinclair Lane. The purse was the property of the school's administrative secretary.

Stolen car: A red 1994 Dodge with tags CEF-697 was stolen Sunday in the 6500 block of Walther Ave.

Northern District

Burglary/arrest: Police responding to a burglary Sunday at the former site of Chesapeake Cadillac and Jaguar in the 2400 block of N. Charles St. arrested a man who was trying to remove copper piping from the building.

Rape: A woman was picked up by a man at Baltimore and Carey streets Sunday and taken to Druid Hill Park, where she was raped and robbed of more than $100. Police had no information about the suspect.

Cab holdup: Two men, one with a large-caliber handgun, robbed a driver for Crown Cab of $80 in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway on Sunday.

Robbery: A Johns Hopkins University student was walking near the 3000 block of N. Charles St. on Sunday when he was chased by a man who forced him against a fence and robbed him of $22 and a watch.

Robbery: A 35-year-old resident of the 700 block of E. 36th St. was in the 3600 block of Frisby St. on Saturday when a man asked her for change. When the woman stopped, the man grabbed $4 from her hand and fled.

Stolen car: A 1991 Chevrolet van with tags 615138M was stolen Sunday in the 4000 block of Linkwood Ave.

Stolen car: A 1994 Dodge with dealer tags 1A49407 was stolen Sunday in the 400 block of W. Cold Spring Lane.

Arson: The front porch of a house in the 300 block of Taplow Road was set on fire Saturday night, causing at least $3,000 damage. The fire was discovered when the occupant returned home from work.

Western District

Robbery: A man was in the 4900 block of St. Georges Ave. on Sunday when five men, one with several gold teeth, struck him several times with their hands and stole his pager and $200.

White Marsh Precinct

Theft: A gold necklace valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen Sunday afternoon from a car parked at White Marsh Mall in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Blvd.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A 39-year-old resident of the 7100 block of Gough St. was trying to leave the Kmart store in the 200 block of North Point Road on Sunday without paying for products valued at $75 when she was stopped by special officer Tammy Stankovic, who detained the woman for county police.

Theft: While a clerk at Things Remembered in Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of North Point Blvd. was vacuuming her work area Sunday, a man stole a money bag containing the day's receipts.

Purse snatch: A 32-year-old resident of the 7400 block of Patricia Court in Dundalk was leaving a store in the first block of Dundalk Ave. on Sunday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

Garrison Precinct

Theft: Computer equipment valued at more than $1,500 was stolen during the weekend from the Pikesville Middle School in the 7600 block of Labyrinth Road.

Theft: Ten tires, all valued at more than $3,600, were stolen between Saturday and yesterday from a Saturn and two Chevrolet 4-by-4s parked at Allstate Leasing in the 9400 block of Reisterstown Road.
