Capitals review

Saturday night: Washington beat the Islanders for the fifth straight time, 3-2, and moved into a tie with Florida for first place in the Atlantic Division. Peter Bondra scored twice, and the Capitals outshot the Islanders, 19-13, through the first two periods.

What's ahead: Home against Boston tomorrow; at Toronto on Friday; home against Chicago on Saturday.

Injuries: C Pat Peake (thyroid cartilage) and C Kevin Kaminski (ribs) are doubtful for the Boston game.

They said it: "It wasn't the prettiest of wins, but it's two points." -- Capitals coach Jim Schoenfeld.
