Health Department inspectors find violations at nine restaurants

Inspectors for the county Department of Health conduct periodic reviews of restaurants and food preparation establishments to monitor sanitary and physical conditions.

The county inspected 68 sites from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15.

One restaurant, Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, 80 Compromise St., was closed Oct. 6 because of fire damage. It was partly reopened on Oct. 13.

Eight other establishments were cited for violations:

* Shell 786 Inc., 400 block of West Camp Meade Road, Linthicum. Adulterated or spoiled food.

* Friendly Ice Cream, 400 block of Crain Highway, South, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature.

* McDonald's Restaurant, 800 block of Reece Road, Severn. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Subrunners, first block of Forest Drive, Annapolis. Food not adequately cooked or reheated.

* Red Lobster Restaurant, 100 block of Jennifer Road, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Roy Rogers, Annapolis Mall, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Family Restaurant Inc., unit block of Aquahart Road, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Friendly Ice Cream Corp., 7900 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature.
