How can I find out the value of old 45-rpm records and albums dating from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s, etc., and where can I find the names of people who buy them?

Two terrific books that cover popular records and albums dating from the 1950s through 1980s, and which contain buyer and dealer ads and sources, are the 1995-1996 17th edition of Jerry Osborne's "Rockin' Records -- Buyers, Sellers Reference Book and Price Guide," available in a 678-page edition for $43.45 postpaid, and the 11th edition of the "Official Price Guide to Records" by Jerry Osborne, in a 1,224-page edition listing more than 100,000 prices and containing a buyers and sellers directory for $24 postpaid from Ace Enterprises, P.O. Box 59354, Chicago, Ill. 60659. Both books contain information on how to buy, sell, grade and price records, plus lots more.

I recently bought some delightful old cups and saucers at a local Salvation Army store and was wondering where I can buy other dishes of the same kind in pastel shades of pink, blue and green marked T.S. & T Lu-Ray Pastels, U.S.A.

Write Bill and Kathy Meehan, P.O. Box 2054, Haddonfield, N.J. 08033; enclose $20.95 for a postpaid copy of their book, "Collector's Guide to T.S. & T Lu-Ray Pastels U.S.A." Or send an addressed, stamped envelope for information on where to get the pieces you want.

I have collected nutcrackers for 20 years. Is there a club for nutcracker collectors?

There sure is! Write the Nutcracker Collectors Association, Route 3, P.O. Box 395, Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455; enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for information. Also write the Steinbach/KSA Collectible Nutcracker Club, 1107 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10010; enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a reply, or phone the club at (212) 924-0900 or (800) 243-9627.

Nutcrackers fans will enjoy the book "Ornamental & Figural Nutcrackers -- An Identification & Value Guide" by Judith A. Rittenhouse; it is available for $18.95 postpaid from Collector Books, P.O. Box 3009, Paducah, Ky. 42002-3009.

Send your questions to Anita Gold, P.O. Box 59354, Chicago, Ill. 60659. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Not all letters can be answered.
