Panel to discuss women in architecture, housing

"Seeing the Invisible: Perspectives of Women in Architecture, Planning and Community Development," a free panel discussion, will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 in Jenkins Hall, Room 104, at Morgan State University.

Gender issues and their effect on housing policy, architecture designs, planning and how women are educated in these professions will be covered.

Panelists will include: Robin Allen, an architect with the Baltimore City Department of Planning; Sylvia Fulwood, director of Baltimore-East Midway Community Development Corp.; Elizabeth Hewlett, chair of the Prince George's County Planning Board City Administration; Kathy Robertson, development director for Sandtown-Winchester Community Development Corp.; and Kathryn Waters, manager and chief of MARC Transit Operations.
