Top-ranked Centennial blanks Broadneck, 4-0, in 3A East No. 8 Patapsco edges Overlea, 4-3, in 2A North

Junior Matt Laycock scored twice to lead top-ranked Centennial (14-0) over Broadneck, 4-0, in a Class 3A East semifinal.

Centennial plays the Howard/Atholton winner in the final.

* Glenelg 4, Lackey 0: Tony Marchegiano scored twice and assisted on a third goal as Glenelg (6-7-1) blanked Lackey in a Class 2A South semifinal.

In Tuesday's championship game, Glenelg will have a chance to avenge a regular-season double-overtime loss to Wilde Lake.

* Patapsco 4, Overlea 3: Forward Chuck Little led four scorers with a goal and an assist, as No. 8 Patapsco (13-2-1) defeated Overlea (10-4-1) in a Class 2A North semifinal. Falcons goalkeeper Jim Smedley recorded 11 saves.

* Patterson 7, Mervo 0: Sophomore forward Guillermo Pineda scored three goals to lead Patterson (11-3) to a Class 4A North semifinal win.

John Hollen added two goals and Ed Furst a goal and an assist.

* Perry Hall 10, Southern-BC 3: Tim Dresinos scored a hat trick and Joe Capone and Alan Batac added one goal and two assists each to pace the No. 14 Gators (11-2-1) to victory in the Class 4A North regional semifinal matchup at Perry Hall.

* Wilde Lake 4, Oakland Mills 1: The host Wildecats scored four unanswered goals after trailing 1-0 early on their way to a Class 2A South playoff win. Sai Solle's goal proved to be the game winner, breaking up a 1-1 tie.
