November 01, 1995

T. Tracy Bilbrough, a career-long employee of Black & Decker Corp., has been promoted to president of the Eastern Hemisphere for the company's power tool group, overseeing sales and operations in Black & Decker's fast-growing market.

"It's exciting, particularly the challenge we have there," Mr. Bilbrough said yesterday.

A native of Baltimore, Mr. Bilbrough, 39, has worked for the Towson-based power tool and appliance company since his graduation from Loyola College in 1978. Most recently, he has been vice president for marketing and sales for professional products in the North America power tools group, a job he has held since 1992.

He replaces Roger H. Thomas, 53, who is retiring.

Mr. Bilbrough, who will be based in Singapore, will be in charge of both producing and selling power tools and appliances in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and the Middle East.

John W. Schiech, the former vice president of engineering for North American power tools group, is taking Mr. Bilbrough's old marketing and sales position, and will be responsible for the division's marketing and engineering.
