Here is how members of Maryland's delegation on Capitol Hill were recorded on important roll-call votes last week:

House: Budget bill

By 227 votes for and 203 against, the House passed a bill (HR 2491) enacting hundreds of major program changes designed to balance the budget by 2002. The nearly 1,800-page bill is the final step in the Republican majority's yearlong overhaul of the federal government. It cuts personal and business taxes by $245 billion in seven years while slowing spending by nearly $900 billion, including curbs of more than $500 billion in Medicare, Medicaid and welfare outlays.

A yes vote was to approve the Republican budget.
