No. 2 Fallston shuts down Franklin, 3-0, behind Sharff

Suzanne Sharff scored a goal and had an assist as host and No. 2 Fallston (12-0) defeated Franklin (9-3), 3-0, in a Class 3A East region playoff quarterfinal.

Katie and Rachel Simon each scored goals on penalty shots for (( Fallston.

* C. Milton Wright 1, Parkville 0: Kim McNamee's goal 38 seconds into overtime lifted host C. Milton Wright (8-5) past Parkville in a Class 3A East quarterfinal.

Kelly Donovan had the assist on the game-winning score and Jen Reedy had 12 saves, out-dueling Parkville's Gina Cianpglia, who had seven.

* Dulaney 3, North County: Ericka Anderson had a goal and an assist to lead host Dulaney (7-5) in a Class 4A East quarterfinal.

* Overlea 1, Lansdowne 0: Ann Lambros' goal with 3:10 remaining in overtime lifted Overlea (6-3-1) past visiting Lansdowne, in a Class 2A North region quarterfinal. Erin Bray had the assist on Lambros' goal, and Katie Lambros and Jennifer Hercek combined for seven saves to post the shutout for the Falcons.

* Kenwood 3, Dundalk 0: Amy Hott, Paula Morgan and Kelly Bess each scored a goal as visiting Kenwood (2-9-1) won a Class 3A East quarterfinal.

* South River 3, Aberdeen 2: Amanda Hopkins, Meg Woody and Lauren Waleryszak each scored as South River (3-10) defeated visiting Aberdeen in Class 2A East quarterfinal.

* Loch Raven 3, Patapsco 0: Sharon Huseman had two goals and Kara Kreafle added another to lead the Raiders (9-3) in a Class 2A North playoff quarterfinal.

* Hereford 11, Carver A&T 0: Jen Krantz had three goals and two assists to lead Hereford (7-5-1) past Carver A&T in a Class IA West quarterfinal.

* Bel Air 4, Woodlawn 0: Cristine Quick scored 45 seconds into the game to lead Bel Air (7-4-1) by Woodlawn in a Class 3A East quarterfinal.

* North Harford 2, Pikesville 1: Angie Gray scored with six seconds left in the first overtime as North Harford (6-6-1) beat Pikesville in a Class 2A North quarterfinal.

* Towson 1, Catonsville 0: Amy Stambaugh scored on a fast break in overtime as Towson downed Catonsville in a Class 2A North quarterfinal.

* Severna Park 1, Arundel 0: Amy Noble re-directed a feed from Melissa Reynolds 6:58 into overtime for her 17th goal of the season, lifting top-ranked Severna Park (14-0) over (6-3-2) Arundel in a Class 4A South quarterfinal.

* Chesapeake-AA 1, Old Mill 0: Kristen Bonk scored to lift host Chesapeake-AA (9-5) in a Class 4A East quarterfinal.
