Tomorrow

Wilde Lake (4-3) at No. 9 Hammond (7-0)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: After defeating a solid Centennial club, 27-9, last week, things don't get easier for the Bears. Wilde Lake lost to Atholton, 14-13, in the last minute, so the Wildecats should be fired up. TB Dain Lewis carried 17 times for 103 yards and made 14 tackles. Eric McDuffie returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown against the Raiders. Hammond QB Tim Spruill had a fine day against Centennial, rushing 14 times for 124 yards and one touchdown, and completing five of 11 passes for 79 yards and one touchdown. Hammond has a nine-game winning streak. Wilde Lake defeated Hammond last season, 21-14.

Atholton (5-2) at Centennial (4-3)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: Atholton defeated Wilde Lake for the first time in 17 years last week, so the Raiders are feeling good. They have a shot at their first county championship since 1976 and first playoff appearance since 1985. They also have a chance to tie or surpass the school record for wins, which is eight. Ricky Trott had a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown last week. Centennial allowed Hammond to make big plays and failed to take advantage of opportunities in a 27-9 loss. Last season

Centennial defeated Atholton, 47-7.

No. 6 Oakland Mills (5-2) at Mount Hebron (2-5)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: The Scorpions have a four-game winning streak and are unbeaten in the league after downing Glenelg last week, 41-0. QB Irving Conwell completed four of six passes for 51 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for three touchdowns and intercepted three passes. Fardan Carter ran 10 times for 102 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown. Mount Hebron dropped a 7-6 decision to Howard. A Vikings fumble on Howard's goal line took away a victory. Last season Howard defeated Mount Hebron, 33-0.

Howard (4-3) at Glenelg (2-5)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: The Lions rebounded from three straight losses to defeat Mount Hebron last week, 7-6. RB Anthony Heywood rushed eight times for 77 yards and Dedrick Colbert gained 83 yards on 18 carries. Glenelg lost its fourth straight game, falling to Oakland Mills, 41-0. The Gladiators were outscored, 167-13, in those four games and have not scored in the last three games. Oakland Mills intercepted five Glenelg passes. Last season Howard defeated Glenelg, 27-7.
