2 men arrested in store thefts at Marley Station

County police arrested two Baltimore men Monday and Tuesday in shoplifting incidents at Marley Station.

Monday night, a man who stole about $780 in polo shirts from Macy's was arrested when the driver of a fleeing car abandoned him after officers stopped the vehicle, police said.

Jeff Harrison, 26, of the 400 block of Bigley Ave. in Baltimore was arrested and charged with felony theft.

Tuesday, two men walked into the Waxie Maxie store shortly after 1 p.m. and stood around a table that displayed compact discs.

Police said both men grabbed CDs and ran out the door.One stopped and handed five CDs to the assistant manager, who was pursuing them.

The man then went back into the store, put five more CDs on the table and ran, police said. A security officer caught him near the mall.

Police charged Gary Tarrell Belote, 23, of the first block of N. Wickham Road in Baltimore with theft.
