25 years ago (week of Oct. 11-17, 1970) Despite efforts by Howard County police, the Columbia Association and Howard Research and Development, rowdy teen-agers continue to be a problem in the Wilde Lake Village Center parking lot. Teens congregate in the area for illicit drinking. Their noise, behavior and foul comments annoy and frighten passers-by, causing business to drop off at nearby shops.
50 years ago (week of Oct. 14-20, 1945) The Parlett Motor Company in Ellicott City is the first Howard County dealership to receive a post-war automobile: the 1946 Ford.
