Tomorrow

Centennial (4-2) at No. 11 Hammond (6-0)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: With injuries sidelining three key players, Hammond went away from its no-huddle, shotgun-style offense the past two weeks and struggled to beat Mount Hebron and Howard. The Bears threw only 16 passes and scored only 24 points in those two games. They had averaged 35 points in their first four games. Hammond will return to its faster-paced style. Its key offensive weapons are QB Tim Spruill, RB Josh Zillmer, FB Ron Gamble and WR Mike Bright. Hammond's defense has three shutouts and has allowed 25 points. William Oliver blocked a field goal and a punt last week. Centennial is coming off back-to-back shutouts over Howard and Mount Hebron and needs a win to keep alive any hope of a county championship. Centennial QB John Webster completed 14 of 16 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran 55 yards for another touchdown. John Zolak caught four passes for 63 yards and one touchdown. Centennial won last season's meeting, 22-13. It's Hammond's homecoming.

Atholton (4-2) at Wilde Lake (4-2)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: This is a must-win game for both teams in terms of playoff and county championship hopes. Wilde Lake allowed Oakland Mills to rally in the second half and win, 29-15, last week. Dain Lewis carried 15 times for 85 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown run. QB Jeff Johnson completed seven of 18 passes for 88 yards. Those two are Wilde Lake's chief offensive weapons. Atholton's best player, Ricky Trott, was sidelined with an injury last week, but the Raiders still defeated Glenelg, 40-0. Lamar Macon rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Macon also had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. QB Jason Sandner rushed for two touchdowns. And FB Jon Sanford had a 55-yard touchdown run. Atholton's offense averages 30 points.

Wilde Lake defeated Atholton last season, 3-0.

Glenelg (2-4) at No. 7 Oakland Mills (4-2)

Time: 2 p.m.

rTC Outlook: After three tough wins over Centennial, Atholton and Wilde Lake, the Scorpions should be in for a breather. In last week's 29-15 win over Wilde Lake, QB Irving Conwell completed five of 12 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown. RB Fardan Carter carried 17 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns. WR Antiwan Jones ran 51 yards for a touchdown. Glenelg has lost all three of its league games and been outscored, 126-13. Last season Oakland Mills defeated Glenelg, 41-13.

Mount Hebron (2-4) at Howard (3-3)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: Each team is hungry for its first league victory. Mount Hebron was shut out by Centennial last week, 26-0. Howard was blanked by Hammond, 10-0. Howard's Anthony Haywood rushed times for 77 yards against Hammond. Howard defeated Mount Hebron last season, 33-0. This is Howard's homecoming.
