Main St. task force to discuss options in Westminster project

October 19, 1995

The West Main Street/Pennsylvania Avenue Task Force will review options concerning proposed Westminster road improvements at a November meeting.

The section of West Main Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to Union Street will be reviewed. The project could be modified after traffic count information is received in early January.

The meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m. Nov. 8 at the State Highway Administration's Westminster Maintenance Shop at 150 Wyndtryst Drive.

Two options for the section will be reviewed.

One option would continue West Main Street at its current alignment and the other would make West Main Street and Uniontown Road function as the primary east-west roadway.

A variety of options for the section of West Main Street from Union Street to Route 31 also will be examined. Information: Denise Russ at 848-9002.
