Two men were hospitalized, one in the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, after a fight in which one man was armed with a crowbar and the other with a piece of pipe, Sykesville police said.

Charles William Smith, 50, of Sykesville was flown to the trauma center by state police MedEvac helicopter and received 35 stitches to the head after the Friday night fight. He was released Sunday.

The cause of the fight is under investigation, police said.
