Police recover marijuana, arrest Odenton man

An Odenton man was arrested on drug charges Thursday after marijuana was found in his car and in his pockets, police said.

An officer on patrol saw the car on Stepney's Lane shortly after 3:30 a.m. As the officer approached, the car pulled into a clearing and stopped beside another car, police said.

Officers approached the first car and talked to the driver, who said the other driver was looking for a quiet place to talk, police said.

While the second driver was being questioned, an officer saw a )) metal object on the seat next to him, police said.

The officer asked about the metal object and was allowed to search the car, police said. The officer found the remains of several marijuana cigarettes in the car, they said, and a bag of marijuana on the driver.

Race Richard Rudd, 41, of the 1200 block of Baliol Lane in Odenton was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The other driver was not arrested.

Jewelry, camera taken in residential burglary

Jewelry and a camera were stolen from a house in the 3700 block of Patuxent River Road in Davidsonville that was burglarized Thursday, county police said.

The burglar broke a bedroom window to enter the house, then rifled drawers and closets. Neighbors told police they saw a woman walk up to the house about 2 p.m. Thursday and leave about 30 minutes later.

William Kaufman Hodges, who owns the house, told police his house was in disarray when he got home shortly after 6 p.m.

Electronic items, jewelry stolen from house

Someone broke into a house in the 200 block of S. River Club House Road in Harwood on Thursday and stole televisions, a Betamax video recorder, a camera and jewelry, county police said.

Robert MacAdam came home shortly after 5 p.m. and found his front door kicked in and his golden retriever sitting outside,

police said.

Linthicum woman falls from third-floor balcony

A Linthicum woman was injured Thursday in a fall from a third-floor balcony of a motel onto the roof of a parked car, county police said.

Kathy Ann King, 33, who listed her residence as Motel 6 in the 5100 block of Raynor Ave., was treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for injuries to her arms and ribs. She later was released, officials said.

Martin Ray Robinson, 30, told police he had just arrived at the motel shortly before midnight when Ms. King fell onto his 1986 Toyota Camry. Mr. Robinson told police he was delivering food to Ms. King and her roommate, Kimberly Dawn Carey.

Ms. Carey told police she was on the telephone when Ms. King walked out of the room and onto the balcony. Ms. King told police she was sitting on the balcony railing when she fell.

Teen girls, Dunkirk man arrested on drug charges

Two 15-year-old girls and a Dunkirk man were arrested on drug charges Thursday after police found marijuana in the man's car, police said.

An officer found the teen-agers in the car, which was parked in Crofton Park, just after 8:30 p.m. The park was closed. The

officer asked to search the car and found a cigar filled with marijuana, and a bag of marijuana in the windshield washer container under the hood, police said.

The officer seized the car and arrested Jason Phillips, 18, of the 10300 block of Three Doctors Road in Dunkirk. He was charged with possession of marijuana. The two girls were charged as juveniles with possession of marijuana.
