Thunder opens, closes MILL's 10th season

October 11, 1995|By STEVEN KIVINSKI

The Major Indoor Lacrosse League, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this season, will open and close its 1995-96 schedule at the Baltimore Arena, the league announced yesterday.

The Thunder will play host to the Boston Blazers in the opener on Dec. 30 and will finish the 10-game regular season on March 30 against the New York Saints.

The MILL will have 35 regular-season games, 45 percent more than last year. Each team gets one more home game, and there is a new team, the Charlotte Cobras.

"We're excited that we can fulfill our fans' desire to see more games," said Mary Havel, the league's vice president of marketing.

Season ticket prices range from $75, for prime seating, to $50. For information on season tickets or group sales, call (410) 347-2006.
