FERNDALE — New ramp to open tomorrow as part of I-97 widening
FERNDALE -- A new ramp on the northbound Harbor Tunnel Thruway is scheduled to open tomorrow and will ease the traffic flow on Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard through North Linthicum and Ferndale, the State Highway Administration says.
The ramp will give northbound Interstate 97 traffic access to the westbound Interstate 695 exit to Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard.
Single lanes of northbound I-97 and the Harbor Tunnel Thruway will be closed during off-peak hours tomorrow to give workers a chance to finish the ramp in time for its 8 p.m. opening.
The ramp is part of a $14.5 million project to widen I-97 from Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard to the Baltimore Beltway.
