Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northern District

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Sunday when he attempted to leave the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the 5400 block of York Road without paying for more than $16 worth of headache medicine.

Robberies: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed six Johns Hopkins University students of nearly $300 in the 200 block of E. 33rd St. Saturday night.

Central District

Robbery: A resident of the 1300 block of Madison Ave. was walking near his home Sunday when two youths, one with a handgun, robbed him of $40.

Stolen car: A red 1993 Mazda Protege with tags CBD 175 was stolen over the weekend in the 700 block of N. Eutaw St.

Theft: Ten religious tapes, all valued at $100, were stolen yesterday from a 1992 Ford Probe parked in the first block of E. Lexington St.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Two men robbed two teen-age residents of the 700 block of Woodbourne Ave. of their bikes in the 4200 block of Harford Road on Sunday. The bikes were valued at $400.

Burglary: Two 18-speed bikes valued at $300 were stolen Sunday from a garage in the 4600 block of Walther Ave.

Stolen car/arrests: A man and three teen-age males were arrested yesterday in the 1200 block of E. Belvedere Ave. after police spotted a stolen 1990 Dodge Dynasty they were riding in. The car had been stolen earlier in the 1500 block of Abbotston St. During a brief pursuit, the car went out of control and struck a fence. No injuries were reported.

Burglary: A mountain bike valued at $350 was stolen Sunday from a garage in the 4300 block of Arabia Ave.

Theft: Police were seeking a known suspect who entered a house in the 6900 block of McClean Blvd. on Sunday and stole more than $100 from a kitchen counter.

Western District

Purse snatching: A resident of the first block of S. Fulton Ave. was in the 1000 block of Pulaski St. on Sunday when two youths stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $40.

Shooting: A resident of the 900 block of Argyle Ave. was sitting on the front steps of a vacant house in the 1100 block of Mosher St. on Sunday night when an occupant of a passing car fired several shots at him from a large caliber handgun. The victim was shot in the arms and back and was listed in serious condition yesterday at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 1600 block of Vincent St. with a key Sunday and stole a VCR, clothing and cash, all valued at about $2,000. Police were seeking a known suspect.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A 2-door 1991 Mercury with tags YTV 164 was stolen yesterday in the 5100 block of Edmondson Ave.

Stolen car: A 1988 Dodge with tags TZV 085 was stolen Sunday in the 1000 block of N. Woodington Road.

North Point Precinct:

Robbery: Two men dressed in black clothing and wearing black ski masks and black gloves robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the 700 block of North Point Blvd. of an undisclosed sum of money Sunday. After entering the restaurant about 11:30 p.m., the men went to an office and forced the manager to give them the day's receipts. After putting the money in a knapsack, the pair ordered the manager and three other employees into a freezer and locked it with a metal bar. Minutes later, a fifth employee, who was cleaning the restrooms, heard the four calling for help and freed them.

Garrison Precinct:

Burglary: Someone entered a closed garage in the first block of Marcie Woods Court on Sunday and used an automatic garage door opener in a 1994 Infiniti to open the garage door. The intruder then stole the car with tags AYX 967.

Robbery: Three men entered a house in the 4000 block of Amy Lane in Randallstown over the weekend and robbed two occupants of their cash and coins, all valued at about $1,000. The intruders tied up the occupants.

VTC Robbery: A 62-year-old woman was at Liberty and Florida roads Sunday when a youth who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed her of an undisclosed sum of money.

Bank robbery: Three men robbed the NationsBank in the 2800 block of Smith Ave. over the weekend of an undisclosed sum of money. While two men took money from at least one teller drawer, the third acted as a lookout. The men drove off in a Honda with tags NRB 860.

Cockeysville Precinct

Vandalism: At least seven mailboxes were destroyed yesterday on Yeoho, Stockton, Graystone, Corbin and Cold Bottom roads.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Cash and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,600, were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 9000 block of Stile Post Lane.
