Lynsey McVicker scored three goals in the second half as No. 2 and host Maryland routed No. 12 Wake Forest, 6-2, yesterday in field hockey. The Terps (11-1) outshot the Demon Deacons, 23-3.

* Northeastern 5, Towson State 1: Denise Nasca scored four goals to lift Northeastern (10-2) over host Towson State (6-4).

Men's soccer

* Rutgers 2, Maryland 0: Hamisi Amani-Dove (Wilde Lake)

scored 23 seconds into the second half, leading Rutgers past Maryland.

Women's soccer

* Clemson 3, Loyola 0: Susan Trenery scored with five minutes left in the first half to lift No. 13 Clemson (8-4) over Loyola (7-5-1) in College Park.

* UMBC 3, Radford 1, OT: Denise Schilte scored two minutes into the second overtime period, lifting host UMBC (6-5, 2-1) to a Big South victory over Radford.
