Gaines is appointed by Harborplace, Gallery

Harborplace and The Gallery announced the appointment of Michael A. Gaines Sr. as vice pres ident and general manager of the specialty retail and restaurant center. The Baltimore native is a business-economics graduate of the University of Maryland College Park and serves Gaines on the boards of Goodwill Industries and the National Aquarium as well as gubernatorial and mayoral commissions. He formerly was president and CEO of the Council for Economic and Business Opportunity Inc.

The Rouse Co. elected Bruce I. Rothschild vice president, general counsel and vice president and Gordon H. Glenn vice president. A native Baltimorean, Mr. Rothschild has been with the company for 15 years, most recently serving as associate general counsel. He is a Princeton graduate and received his law degree from Georgetown University. Mr. Rothschild and his wife, Ellen, have lived in Columbia since 1977 and have two daughters. Mr. Glenn is a Vanderbilt graduate and received his law degree from George Washington University and serves on the board of the Goodwill Industries. He and his wife, Martha, live in Baltimore.

Baltimore-Washington Venture Group, managed by the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship, announced that Angela Tandy has been named manager of the networking organization. She was formerly a certification specialist at the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse.

Attorneys Per Diem has announced the selection of Thomas A. Henning as managing director of the Baltimore office. Mr. Henning, former vice president and senior counsel for MNC Financial, brings 22 years of corporate legal experience to the regional temporary/permanent legal staffing firm.

Kann & Associates names

Munday, MeckMongKol, Sider

Kann & Associates announced that Hardeepak S. Munday has been chosen as an associate; he joined the firm in 1990 as a project manager. He is a graduate of Chandigarh College of Architecture, University of Punjab, India. Tao MeckMongKol was appointed senior designer. The Thai native is a graduate of Silpakorn University in Bangkok and holds a master's degree from Morgan State University. The Baltimore architectural firm also named Scott Sider senior construction administrator. A graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, he also teaches at Anne Arundel Community College.

Pena joins staff of Ellen & Tucker

Ellen & Tucker, an accounting firm headquartered in Baltimore, added Marta Pena to the accounting and auditing staff. She will perform audits and reviews and compile financial statements. A business administration/accounting graduate of Loyola College, she is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Lenny Rosenthal joins Eisner & Associates

Eisner & Associates appointed Lenny Rosenthal creative group head. He is a 16-year veteran of Trahan, Burden & Charles Advertising. Mr. Rosenthal is a fine arts graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art.

First National Bank of Maryland selected William Krupinsky as a vice president in the MIS systems & control division. He is responsible for microcomputer and desktop administration and support and is involved in acquisition and installation. He attended Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Krupinsky and his family live in Shrewsbury, Pa.

Preferred Health Network anselected Kenneth J. Lewis to fill the newly created position of vice president for government services. He was formerly the vice president of sales and marketing for the Virginia-based International Services Group.
