October 05, 1995|By J. Wynn Rousuck

Sometimes there's so much going on in Baltimore's little theater scene that it's impossible to take it all in. But now, for the second year in a row, Cockpit in Court is giving audiences a chance to sample the work of a dozen local theaters at its Best of Baltimore Community Theatre Showcase, Saturday at Essex Community College.

Participating theaters include Arena Players, Cockpit in Court, Dundalk Community Theatre, Fell's Point Corner Theatre, Heritage Players, the Matthew Players, Mornington Players, Phoenix Festival Theatre, Senior Star Showcase, Spotlighters Theatre, Theatre Hopkins and the Vagabond Players. Each will present a dramatic scene or musical number from a recent or forthcoming production.

Show starts at 8 p.m. Saturdayat the Essex Community College theater, 7201 Rossville Blvd. Tickets are $10 and include a post-performance reception. Call (410) 780-6369.
