The South Carroll High School Cavaliers marching band took first place and swept the specialty awards categories among Group 2 bands Saturday night at the Walkersville High Tournament of Bands.
The Cavaliers scored 78.1 and were awarded best band front, best music, best drum major, best percussion and best marching and maneuvering. Group 2 bands have 36 to 55 musicians.
