Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Western District

Rape: A 26-year-old woman was walking in the 1800 block of N. Calhoun St. yesterday when she was forced into a car by a man who raped her.

Assault/Arrest: A resident of the 1600 block of Ruxton Ave. was in the 600 block of Gold St. on Sunday when he was attacked by a man with a baseball bat who struck him over the head and on the legs. The victim was not seriously injured. Later, police arrested a suspect in the case.

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed a resident of the 1500 block of N. Fulton Ave. of property valued at $1,000 yesterday after striking him over the head with the weapon.

Southern District

Robbery: The owner of a business in the 100 block of W. Barney St. was about to open the business yesterday when a man with a knife shoved him against the wall of the building and robbed him of more than $100.

Robbery: A 42-year-old resident of the 7700 block of Hancock Ave. in Glen Burnie was in the 200 block of Glyndon Ave. yesterday when a man armed with a sawed-off shotgun threw him to the ground and robbed him of his wallet and $15. The victim grabbed the shotgun and during a struggle the shotgun discharged but neither man was hit. When witnesses arrived, the suspect retrieved the shotgun and fired another shot into the air as he fled.

Robbery: A 24-year-old resident of the 1100 block of Carroll St. was riding his bike in the 700 block of Washington Blvd. yesterday when a gunman robbed him of the bike, valued at $200, and $44.

Central District

Shooting: Two 16-year-old boys were in the 200 block of Eutaw St. yesterday when a man shot them. One youth, a resident of the 1600 block of George St., was shot in the chest and was in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The second victim, a resident of the 600 block of Mosher St., was in good condition at Shock Trauma. Police were seeking a man wearing a gray sweat suit and a black leather jacket.

Northern District

Robbery: A resident of the 1000 block of Union Ave. was riding his mountain bike in the 3500 block of Falls Road on Sunday when a man allegedly knocked him to the pavement and stole the bike, valued at $700. Several witnesses chased a man and held him for police. Charged with unarmed robbery was Sherman Nelson, 37.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 32-year-old resident of Baltimore County was in the 3400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. yesterday when a gunman robbed her of a wedding ring, a sapphire ring and $150.

Carjacking: Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who forced a motorist out of his 1990 Nissan Maxima with unknown temporary tags in the 4700 block of Wakefield Road on Sunday. Before the men fled, the suspects also robbed the victim, a resident of Baltimore County, of a gold ring and a gold watch, all valued at more than $3,000.

Robbery: A 32-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Boarman Ave. was in the 3000 block of Grantley Road on Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of a purse, portable video game and other property, all valued at nearly $300.

Cockeysville Precinct

Theft: A set of golf clubs were stolen Sunday from a garage in the first block of Briarfield Court.

Theft: Two mountain bikes with a combined value of nearly $500 were stolen Sunday from a garage in the first block of Twin Leaf Court.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen Car: A white 1994 Honda CBR-900 motorcycle with tags 8130D8 was stolen Sunday from the parking lot of Owings Mill Mall in the 10300 block of Mill Run Circle.

Burglary: An intruder stole household items of unknown value Sunday from a house in the 9000 block of Samoset Road and the victim's car, a 1987 Ford Crown Victoria with tags RGW 667.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Construction equipment and tools, all valued at more than were stolen over the weekend from a building site at Eastpoint Mall in the 7700 block of Eastern Blvd.

Theft: An orange-colored 1995 Wabash-brand trailer with Illinois tags T18939 and containing 1,000 cases of liquid soap valued at $30,000 was stolen over the weekend from the 8200 block of Bletzer Road. The theft was reported yesterday.

Theft: Property valued at $70 was stolen yesterday from a 1990 Chevrolet van parked in the 1900 block of Adams Road.
