California Angels: Placed C Greg Myers on the 60-day disabled list. Purchased the contract of C Todd Greene from Triple-A Vancouver.

Chicago Cubs: Extended manager Jim Riggleman's contract one year through the 1997 season. Retained third base coach Tony Muser, first base coach Dan Radison, pitching coach Ferguson Jenkins, hitting coach Billy Williams, bullpen coach Dave Bialas and dugout coach Mako Oliveras for next season.

Chicago White Sox: Agreed to a multi-year contract extension with manager Terry Bevington.

Cleveland Indians: Added OF Ruben Amaro to the postseason roster. Dropped P Mark Clark from the postseason roster.

San Francisco Giants: Offered one-year extensions to their coaching and training staff.

Philadelphia Phillies: Sent IF Kevin Elster, OF Gary Varsho and P Paul Fletcher outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Pittsburgh Pirates: Extended the contracts of coaches Rich Donnelly, Milt May, Ray Miller, Tommy Sandt and Spin Williams. Announced that Gene Lamont will join the staff in place of Bill Virdon, who will become the minor-league outfield instructor.

Toronto Blue Jays: Will not retain first base coach Bob Bailor, pitching coach Galen Cisco, hitting coach Larry Hisle and bullpen coach Dennis Holmberg next season. Will retain third base coach Nick Leyva and bench coach Gene Tenace.
