Blue Jays Update

Who would've guessed, back in spring training, that the Blue Jays and Orioles would be playing in two essentially meaningless games? As soon as the season is over, Toronto is facing major turnover in its roster. Second baseman Roberto Alomar, designated hitter Paul Molitor and center fielder Devon White all could be gone. Outfielder Joe Carter and first baseman John Olerud, both of whom have had subpar seasons, are under contract for next year. The Orioles could have trouble tonight; Hentgen has been throwing effectively in recent weeks. Menhart pitched a one-hitter against the Orioles in Toronto's last trip to Camden Yards, but lost when Mussina pitched a 1-0 shutout. (Blue Jays statistics on Page 6D)
