Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: A Towson, Baltimore County, resident was in the 300 block of Marion St. when a gunman robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money Monday.

Robbery: A man armed with a knife robbed Out on a Whim, a store at the Light Street pavilion at Harborplace in the 200 block of Light St., of $200 on Monday.

Stolen Car: A 1992 Honda with tags CML 806 was stolen yesterday in the 1300 block of McCulloh St.

Southeastern District

Robbery Try: A 29-year-old resident of the 1200 block of Wellsbach Way was near his home Monday night when he was attacked by several youths armed with metal pipes who struck him on the head, back and legs while trying to rob him. The youths fled when a passer-by ordered them to stop. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Assault: A 10-year-old girl was sitting on the front steps of her house in the 600 block of N. Port St. yesterday when a boy cut her on the hands with a piece of glass. The youth is being sought. The girl was not seriously injured.

Northwestern District

Burglary: furnaces valued at more than $1,700 were stolen yesterday from a house in the 3800 block of Rogers Ave.

Burglary: Police were seeking the driver of a Subaru pickup truck with tags 26229M who broke into a house in the 4900 block of Litchfield Ave. yesterday and stole jewelry.

Southwestern District

Stolen Car/Arrests: men were arrested yesterday in the 2500 block of Emerson St. by Officers Schuyler Denham and Thomas Scally, members of the Regional Auto Theft Task Force, and charged with stealing a 1991 Honda Accord earlier in Pikesville. One of the suspects possessed a quantity of heroin, Officer Denham said.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A coin collection and cash, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen yesterday from a house in the 8100 block of Clydebank Road.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a knife, robbed the High's dairy store in the 7400 block of Belair Road of an undisclosed sum of money Monday.

Burglary: Three mountain bikes with a combined value of $1,500 were stolen Monday from a house in the 3500 block of Park Falls Drive.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who robbed the Taco Bell restaurant in the 7400 block of Belair Road Monday afternoon and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. The suspects forced the manager to remove money from a safe. Before the pair fled, they tried to dismantle a security camera to prevent their being identified.

Woodlawn Precinct

Grenade Found/Detonated: A live World War II-type hand grenade was found Monday in the back yard of a house in the 9000 block of Marksworth Road. Officer Charles Harbison summoned the bomb disposal unit and the device was detonated safely in a nearby field. The incident is under investigation. No arrest has been made.
