A Severna Park woman fled her home Friday during an attempted burglary, county police said.

Susan Gail Beaver, 37, called police just after 9 a.m. as the man took a screen from a side window of her home in the 100 block of Tarks Lane, police said.

By the time police arrived, the man had disappeared.

Officers searched the woods behind the woman's house but could not find the man, police said. About 30 minutes later on Asbury Drive, an officer stopped a man who fit the suspect's description.

Ms. Beaver identified the suspect as the man who had tried to break into her home, police said.

Terry Oneal Mosby, 26, of no fixed address was charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary.
