Cleveland Indians -- Called up P John Farrell, P Joe Roa, C Jesse Levis, OF Brian Giles, OF Jeromy Burnitz and former Orioles IF Bill Ripken from Triple-A Buffalo.

Florida Marlins -- Acquired P Chris Seelbach from the Atlanta Braves to complete the Aug. 31 trade for P Alejandro Pena. Placed P Vic Darensbourg on the 60-day DL.

Montreal Expos -- Announced the voluntary retirement of IF Jeff Treadway. Recalled OF Curtis Pride, OF Yamil Benitez and P Gabe White from Triple-A Ottawa. Purchased the contract of P hTC Hector Fajardo from Ottawa.

New York Mets -- Recalled former Orioles minor-league OF Alex Ochoa from Triple-A Norfolk.
