Store worker accused of using customer credit accounts for self

September 13, 1995

County police arrested a Harundale woman Monday on charges that she ran up more than $2,500 worth of bogus credit card charges since August at the Glen Burnie Sears where she worked.

Police said a loss-prevention manager at the store noticed the woman was buying an unusual amount of merchandise and gift certificates on credit and questioned her.

The woman admitted she had been making unauthorized charges on the accounts of two customers since Aug. 14 because she had family problems, police said.

Police arrested Karen Pfannenstein, 36, of the 8900 block of Park South Drive and charged her with felony theft.
