Women injured in attack along road

September 12, 1995

A 30-year-old Baltimore woman was treated and released after being attacked Sunday while walking with a companion near Nursery Road and Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard, county police said.

Alisa Louise Jones and George Franklin Jordan, both of the 500 block of S. Longwood St., were walking across Nursery Road at 12:47 a.m. when a car passed them, police said. Ms. Jones cursed the occupants after one of them yelled at the couple, police said.

The car then stopped and backed up. Five to six people jumped out, and two women started hitting Ms. Jones, police said. When Ms. Jones fell to the ground, a man kicked her in the right eye, police said. Mr. Jordan tried to help Ms. Jones but was set upon by the group, police said.

Ms. Jones was taken to Harbor Hospital Center, then transferred to the Wilmer Eye Clinic, police said.
