Unidentified corpse found in Cockeysville

September 11, 1995

Baltimore County homicide detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found last night in a wooded area of Cockeysville.

An anonymous caller contacted the police from a telephone booth at 6:26 p.m. to report the discovery of the body in an embankment on the east side of Seminary Avenue, near Mays Chapel Road, authorities said.

The man was described as black, in his mid- to late 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing Union Bay jean shorts and a gray T-shirt.

Police said they could not yet determine if the man was the victim of foul play, but labeled the death suspicious. Police said the body appeared to have been there for one or two days.

Anyone with information was asked to call the police at 887-2198.
